Hattie Mae Compton (character portrayed by Evelyn Sisk) is a wise old woman who has lived throughout history. She will capture your heart as she walks right out of the past and into your presence, sharing the stories and character traits of those who went before us.

Evelyn is a an Actress, Story Teller and Playwright. She is a native of Enterprise, Alabama; who has lived in Huntsville for over thirty years. She is a mother of five children who attended Huntsville City Schools and a granny of thirteen. Evelyn believes that children can learn valuable attributes through storytelling. Evelyn enjoys acting but her favorite character to portray is Hattie Mae Compton. Evelyn is the founder of the Backyard Theatre Club. She is a Seasonal Playwright for The Master's Academy. She is a contributing Writer to Our City On A Hill and a board member for Every Child Has A Story. Evelyn resides in Huntsville, AL.
